Description: Correspondence from R.L. Kirk to Professor R.M. Berndt (Department of Anthropology, University of Western Australia) (28/2/1969) thanking him for sending such a detailed response to his query about the nomenclature of the people at Elcho Island. Kirk is finalising a manuscript which presents the genetic results for the population at Elcho and would welcome Berndt's comments on the introduction and would like him to accept the citation in the footnote. Now that Kirk has an in depth genetic analysis from Elcho Island and samples from more than a dozen other localities in the Northern Territory which are soon to be analysed, the revisions Kirk made for the second edition of Berndt's book will now need to be updated.
