Description

Correspondence from R.L. Kirk to Mr H. Giese (Director of Welfare, Darwin) (20/8/1970) informing him that a Dr Keiichi Omoto from Department of Anthropology, University of Tokyo is spending 14 months working with Kirk's group on various aspects of the genetics of human populations. Dr Omoto would like to examine a series of children and adults for the occurrence of discoloured spots on the tongue and also for the incidence of genetically controlled types of cerumen in the ear. Kirk is asking permission for Omoto to visit 2 settlements in the north and 2 settlements in the centre of the Northern Territory sometime before the end of this year.
