Title
Correspondence from Dr. Langsford to R.L. Kirk
Description

Correspondence from Langsford (Health, Darwin) to R.L. Kirk (23/7/1968) informing Kirk that Miss Halley has arrived safely and has started work on compilation of the individual record sheets for the genetic survey at Elcho Island. Ken Fredricks, an expert in the field of data processing, has had a look at their records and thinks that he can make something out of several segments of their work in the Northern Territory. Langsford has suggested that Fredricks visits Kirk in Canberra to discuss the feasibility of processing some of the data held in the records in the Northern Territory. Langsford also mentions that following their typhoid campaign at Elcho and Yirrkala, they are aware that they still have a few carriers and it may be necessary to take further blood samples in this area in a search for chronic excretors of the organism. Therefore it is likely that a portion of these specimens will be available for Kirk to use.
