- Correspondence from Dr R.T. Simmons to R.L. Kirk
- Description
Correspondence from Dr R.T. Simmons (Senior consultant, Commonwealth Serum Laboratories, Vic) to R.L. Kirk (5/3/1968) advising Kirk that he is currently completing a very extensive paper entitled, 'Blood group genetic patterns in Kuru patients and populations of the Eastern Highlands of New Guinea' by Simmons, Graydon, sievers, Gajdusek, Alpers and Hornabrock. He wonders whether this paper could be published as a contribution to the International Biological Programme. Simmons says they will be glad to undertake blood grouping studies as requested and would like to know the numbers likely to be tested in each of the four areas chosen.
