- Correspondence from T. Milliken to D. Morris
- Description
Correspondence from Mr E.P. Milliken (Assistant Director of Research, Welfare Branch, NT Administration) to Dave Morris (superintendent, Methodist Church of Australia, Elcho Island, via Darwin, NT) (21/10/1969) regarding research work performed by Miss D. Halley associated with the International Biological Programme and David Morris' decision that Miss Halley cannot be accommodated on Elcho Island. Milliken emphasizes the importance of Miss Halley being allowed to continue with her demographic work for the International Biological Programme and would greatly appreciate Morris providing some accommodation no matter how limited, to Miss Halley for the next couple of months. Milliken also mentions that he is quite prepared to have any of the regular Aboriginal workers who may be required as informants, paid on the regular wage sheets under this category.
