Place Wyndham

Summary

Wyndham was established in 1886 as a result of a gold rush at Halls Creek and now serves as a port and service centre for the east Kimberley. It is the northernmost town in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, 2210 km northeast of Perth. With a population of about 800 people (2011 census), there are two schools, a TAFE campus, a daycare centre, two hotels, an airport and a caravan park.
