Summary
Beagle Bay is an Aboriginal Community situated adjacent to the Indian Ocean and 100km north of Broome. Beagle Bay community was established in 1890 by Trappist Monks. Today, Beagle Bay has its own school which the Monks established in 1892; one store, a cemetery, a sewer system, bore water and locally generated and supplied electricity. Beagle Bay is home to Indigenous people from all across the Kimberley. In 2011, the population was 288.
