Summary

Dilys Halley was employed by the Australian Academy of Science to work as a field assistant for the International Biological Programme, Human Adaptability 1 project from mid 1968 to mid 1970. Her qualifications included being a double certificate nurse and work experience with Aborigines as a member of the Human Genetics Unit at the University of Western Australia. She worked in the Northern Territory, predominantly for Bob Kirk conducting painstaking genealogical and demographic work for the project. There exists in the NCIG collection, extensive correspondence between Halley and Kirk.
